Patti LaBelle concert 6-4-10 Waterbury, CT

Recently I went down to Waterbury, CT on Friday, June 4th to see Patti LaBelle in concert. Boy did she give an awesome performance. But of course she's gives it her all whenever she's performing. She opened her show with New Attitude, and instantly got the crowd on their feet. I felt like I was part of the show actually, since I was sitting in the 2nd row from the stage. She went on to sing alot of her hit songs (and some covers), "If you asked me to", "If Only You Knew", "Lady Marmalade", "Over the Rainbow", "If you don't know me by now", and my ALL time favorite song she did, "Somebody Loves You". She had me tearing up when she started that song. And of course many others she sang. She played about a 90 minute set, and ended the show singing her rendition of "The Lord's Prayer". Wow!! That was an amazing rendition of that song for her to sing. She gave it so much powerful vocals, it was simply amazing. I would totally recommend going to see her if you have the chance. She will definitely give you a performance of a lifetime. And not to mention for being 66 years old and in the business for over 40 years....she's one truly great performer.
