Diana Ross concert 5/15/10 Boston, MA

Last night I went and saw the legendary Diana Ross perform at the Wang Theater here in Boston, MA. Oh my! What a performance. Ms. Ross sang like it was back in the old days. She performed a whole list of songs from when she was with the Supremes through solo work. Multiple times she got the audience on their feet dancing through the night. It was simply an amazing performance from such a talented singer. She had about 6 costume changes through the night and all of them were elaborate sequined gowns.

Her encore performance was dedicated to the late Michael Jackson. She had a huge video screen behind the stage portraying pics of Michael and herself. It was a very tasteful and moving performance.

I would recommend if anyone has the chance to see her live in concert. It was certainly well worth the money spent to listen to all the classics live. And no lip syncing.!!!

  2. I will be seeing her in Cleveland, Ohio on May 28th at the State Theatre. I can't recall the number of times I have seen Diana through the years. She has never let me down. She is more than a superstar. She is a friend. I love her dearly. From what I have read of the show, it is going to blow our minds!

  4. Obviously the Boston Globe critic was one on Diana's detractors. He didnt like the show; in part because he was given free tickets by the promoter. I've been attending Diana Ross concerts for the past 25 years. This was truly one of her better performance.
Also the staging and the production was supreme. She looked beautiful, and sounded great. I dont know when it became popular to be critical of Diana, but the media continues to hate on her. This was Diana Ross at her best. The lighting, the backup singers, the set, production, were a throw back to Diana Ross at Ceasar Palace. YOU MUST SEE THIS SHOW

  7. I got hooked on Diana way back in 1964 on Ed Sullivan. I stopped counting my Diana shows when it hit 50, so now probably about 70,not bad for 45 years..The Boston show 5/15 was 105 minutes of perfection..Diana sang her heart out,and looked better than most woman half her age, she added more musicians than she ever had,and her band sounded like a philharmonic.
If anyone has one negative thing to say about her show, they are not a true fan. This lady has given her fans almost 50 years of her life.
I would like to see how long some of todays Divas are going to last..Maybe 15 minutes to a year at most....Diana Ross is truly a National Treasure.....
